Are you thawing yet? I think all our snow and ice finally melted today which I am aye okay with! This weekend is looking promising with some amazing shows and casual events! This weekend is the Oklahoma City Home and Garden Show at the Fair Grounds. If you are wanting inspiration or have a home project goal you want to tackle this year definitely check it out! OR if you want to feel like your in the mountains of Europe but not all about that 15 hour flight, Joes Assembly kicks off their alpine inspired pop up this weekend and don’t worry if you have FOMO… the pop up will be around through March 2nd.
Here’s my top picks happening this weekend in Oklahoma City:
Les Misérables, Civic Center, OKC - Jan 16-21
The Oklahoma Civic Center is hosting one of the worlds most poplar musicals, Les Miserables. The story is set against the backdrop of 19th-century France and follows the life of Jean Valjean, who is a former convict who seeks redemption after being released from prison. The story revolves around struggles for justice, love, and compassion and explores themes of poverty, revolution, and the human spirit. Some popular songs from the musical you might know are: “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Bring Him Home,” “One Day More,” “Master of the House”
TJ Apres - An Alpine Inspired Pop-up, The Jones Assembly - Jan 17-Mar 2
For a limited time, experience the Jones Assembly’s outdoor space transformed into a winter oasis with lodge-style décor. Why trek to a mountain getaway when you can experience the ski lodge in OKC’s West Village? Experience special Facebook events, photo-ops, and much more. Enjoy alpine inspired food and beverage including Fondue, Raclette Burger, and various Shotskis. This pop up is family friendly.
